BALTIMORE RAVENS WIN SUPER BOWL XLVII. BEYONCE’S PEPSI HALFTIME SHOW 2013.

20130203-221932.jpg

Baltimore Ravens beat San Francisco 49ers 34-31 to win the NFL Super Bowl XLVII which was held in New Orleans, Louisiana on February 3, at the Mercedes-Benz Superdome.

Alicia Keys sang the national anthem, beautifully as if it were a brand new song. Jennifer Hudson & 26 Children from Sandy Hook Elementary School Chorus brought tears to our eyes when they sang “America the Beautiful” before the game.

Beyonce’s Pepsi halftime was great! She sang the following hits: “Baby it’s You – Intro”, “Crazy In Love”, “End of Time”, “Baby Boy”, “Independent Women”, “Single Ladies”, “Halo”, Beyonce was also joined by Kelly Rowland & Michelle Williams for two songs.

The diva created a scandal when she lip-synced the National Anthem at the President’s 2nd inauguration last month so many were curious to see how she’d perform at this years Superbowl 47. She is an R&B/Pop singer with 16 Grammy-Award wins.

Past Halftime performers have included; Madonna, Prince, The Black Eyed Peas, The Rolling Stones, U2, The Who, Bruce Springsteen & The E Street Band, Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers, and Paul McCartney.

As for the Superbowl Ads Audi, Doritos, Best Buy, Toyota, Calvin Klein, Bud Light, & KIA all did not disappoint. Go Daddy not as great as previous years.

BEYONCE LIP-SYNCING AT THE PRESIDENTIAL INAUGURATION WHAT ABOUT SUPER BOWL XLVII?

Beyonce-lip-synched-inauguration

Yes, Beyoncé lip-synched the National Anthem at Barack Obama’s second Presidential inauguration.

The diva made the decision to use a pre-recording because she didn’t have time to rehearse with the U.S. Marine Band. The Band’s spokesperson made a statement saying it would have been impossible for Beyoncé to do a live performance alongside their musical accompaniment because they didn’t have enough practice time.

Question is will she do the same at the Super Bowl XLVII Pepsi Half-Time Performance on Feb 3rd?

RIHANNA, CHRIS BROWN SPLIT. KARRUECHE TRAN AND BREEZY STILL TOGETHER! DRAMA.

Rihanna-Chris-Brown-break-up-Karrueche-Tran

Rihanna and Chris Brown have broken up, and Karrueche is the reason behind their split. Breezy has been cheating on RiRi with Kae. Its sad because the two singers spent New Years day together, after performing in Ivory Coast together on New Years Eve.

It all started when Tran flew to Paris to be with Brown, but Chris assured Rihanna that she was the only one for him but then Breezy & Kae were spotted together on Jan 6 in Long Beach, CA, and then later the two posted instagram photos on twitter that made it obvious they were flirting, playing footsie with each other, this brought an awakening in Rihanna that Brown had been playing her all along.

Rihanna(24) got mad and posted the following goodbye letter to Brown(23) and she was not kind to Kae(24):

Rihanna has also been tweeting away her fustrations mostly using Instagram pics, trying get back at Kae for stealing her man:

@rihanna: “Watch what you say to/about people! Cuz you only wind up dragging your skeletons out your own closet, all wh http://t.co/X5emlJHD

@rihanna: “Full stop” http://instagram.com/p/UBn24qhMwc/

Rihanna had written an open letter to Brown in Dec. last year telling the World that they were in love:

“We continue down this road together, strong, united, uncensored and fearless. There is no question that life throws us curve balls, we do our best to deal with them, take the lessons and keep moving it without regrets!”

MOVIE DJANGO UNCHAINED CAUSES CONTROVERSY AMONG U.S. BLACK ACTIVISTS.

Django-Unchained-Movie-Jamie-Foxx

Django Unchained is a western movie written and directed by Quentin Tarantino, based on the African American Life, Liberty and the Pursuit of Vengeance. The Movie has caused a lot of controversy among Black activists, due to some action figures produced by the National Entertainment Collectibles Association, that the activists say are a mockery of slavery. The movie has already been nominated five times including Best Picture.

The storyline is of a slave-turned-bounty hunter who sets out to rescue his wife from a brutal Mississippi plantation owner with the help of his mentor.

Rev Al Sharpton’s National Action Network is also calling for a boycott of the action figures. “Selling this doll is highly offensive to our ancestors and the African-American community.”

Najee Ali, director of the Los Angeles Civil Rights Organisation Project Islamic Hope, said the toys are “a slap in the face of our ancestors.”

Spike Lee tweeted his disgust:
“American Slavery Was Not A Sergio Leone Spaghetti Western. It Was A Holocaust. My Ancestors Are Slaves. Stolen From Africa. I Will Honor Them.”

The movie is full of satire and savagery and this can be a bit tough for African Americans and their Slave History.

The film stars include: Jamie Foxx, as Django, Christoph Waltz, Leonardo DiCaprio, Kerry Washington, Samuel L. Jackson, Walton Goggins among others.

The Movie hit theaters in the U. S. on December 25th. 2012.
